| Item: | Presented by Rebecca Longstreth Walker to LMHS ?Spoon once belonged to her grandmother, Rebecca Williams Longstreth, daughter of Mordecai and granddaughter of David Williams. Rebecca was great-great-great granddaughter of John Williams, a Revolutionary soldier of Charlestown, Chester County. He was the grandfather of Martha Williams, a young Revolutionary heroine who aided in the work of feeding and clothing the patriots at Valley Forge, and who afterwards married her teacher, Captain James Boyle. She was also great-granddaughter of another Revolutionary soldier, Mordcai Williams, of Chester County Militia, brother of Martha.? |
